Today marks the release of the new video for “Open Road,” off Keifer Sutherland’s newly released album, Reckless & Me.
Just like the real-life roping champion he is, Sutherland has bucked the stigma of actors making music. “If people are going to attack me for it, I can still stand tall knowing that I like the way this sounds, and I like these songs. The surprise of my life was that people were incredibly generous with their opinions on the first record,” he recently told Billboard Magazine. “I was incredibly grateful and humbled by that. The thing that I discovered along the way was how much I loved playing live. In many ways, the records were a way of justifying going back out on tour.”
Sutherland is currently on hiatus from saving the world as President Tom Kirkman, on the now Netflix drama, Designated Survivor, and is taking his Reckless & Me Tour across the U.S. this summer.
