Western New York’s own, Julie Byrne, as just released the third and final single, “Moonless,” from her upcoming album, The Greater Wings released on July 7th.
“Moonless” follows Byrne’s “Summer Glass” and album title track “The Greater Wings,” released earlier this year.
Byrne began working on her third album, The Greater Wings, with her partner, Eric Littman, in the fall of 2020. The album was shelved for six months after Littman’s tragic and untimely death in early 2022. Although most of the album was written and recorded before Littman’s death, Byrne picked up the torch and finished the album without her partner.

Katie Melua just released her 9th studio album, Love & Money. Melua was born in the Soviet Union and became a Britsh Citizen in 2005.
While performing at the BRIT School Showcase, Melua caught the eye of songwriter and producer Mike Batt. Batt was originally looking for an acid-rock band, bass player and a singer capable of singing “jazz and blues in an interesting way”. After hearing Melua sing “Faraway Voice” (a song she wrote about the death of her idol Eva Cassidy), Batt signed the 18-year-old Melua to his small Dramatico recording and management company and took her into the studio, producing her first three albums during the subsequent years, plus her fifth and sixth albums.
