13-Year-Old Singer/Songwriter Eleanor Hibbard Has a Unique Gift For Songwriting

Eleanor Hibbard & Kim Carney at Spoons Bistro - 9/15/24

I had the pure pleasure of meeting with Singer/Songwriter, Eleanor Hibbard and her mother Marrie a few weeks ago. We met at Spoons Bistro here in Grand Junction, Colorado and visited over smoothies.

I was astounded when I listened to “Ain’t Gonna Lie”, a new song Eleanor submitted for The Rick Spins Show, powered by ISSA Radio, but I was even more shocked when I found out the girl with this liquid-gold voice is only 13 years old! And when I found out Eleanor lived right here in my town, I was ecstatic and immediately scheduled a meet with her.

Eleanor Hibbard has been writing songs and singing since she was 9 years old. And now, at age 13, Eleanor says she has written more than 20 songs, and she has officially released 9 of those songs so far.

Eleanor is learning the piano and has taken several voice lessons and it’s clear that this girl’s genuine talent will take her far.

Eleanor has performed at music festivals all over the western slope and has participated in several talent competitions. She won her middle-school talent show and was the middle-school winner of the JAS (Jazz Aspen Snowmass) Share Your Voice Songwriting Competition and she was a finalist in the Aspen Rocks Music Competition at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, CO, and received studio time at Mad Dog Ranch+Studios earlier this year.

Eleanor also competed in and won her first round in the American Songwriter Songsmith Showdown in Longmont, CO on October 16th and she will be returning to Longmont for the finals on December 4th!

In addition to her first love, music, Eleanor also loves to play soccer and volleyball. She loves to travel, especially to the beach and loves her friends and family.

We can’t wait to see where music takes this amazing young talent and we’ll be following her journey every step of the way!
